While comfortably seated in our climate-controlled minivan, we'll delve into the history of Eva Perón. Upon reaching the Recoleta Cemetery, we'll spend some time exploring and learning about its famous inhabitants. Moving on, we'll discover the heart of Palermo, a neighborhood known for its bohemian charm and cutting-edge design. The area, known as Palermo Hollywood, is filled with film, television, and radio studios and was a major part of Jorge Luis Borges' life and literary works. Borges spent his formative years and wrote many of his renowned novels here.
Palermo had a significant influence on Borges' personal and professional life. We’ll pass by Borges 2135 in Palermo Soho, the house where Borges spent his childhood, and Honduras 3784, the home of Evaristo Carriego, the poet whose biography Borges penned.
Further into Palermo, we’ll visit the International Jorge Luis Borges Foundation, established in 1988 by his widow and literary secretary María Kodama. This institution houses various artifacts from Borges' life and promotes a rich cultural program.
The finale of our tour is a visit to the Evita Museum, where we'll spend around half an hour learning about one of Argentina's most celebrated women.
